Jazz Cruises 2018
Cruise season is always a fun time for us. Every year we hand-select Yamaha pianos to go aboard a luxury cruise ship. We also bring on an assistant piano technician to help keep up with the multiple sets and performances, some occuring at the same time. This year marked our 10th anniversary of working with Entertainment Cruise Productions and being a part of this unique family of musicians and jazz enthusiasts. "For a decade Justin Elliott has provided Entertainment Cruise Productions with first class piano service for the many, many cruise programs that we provide. The challenges of providing piano service for our needs is both unique and intense. Our cruises feature many different types of music genres, multiple performers and multiple instruments. With the down time between shows often around 30 minutes long, the need to perform the piano services quickly, as well as perfectly, heightens the intensity of the work and the skills needed to complete the tasks. Watching him tune a piano for a straight ahead jazz player and then for a completely different player on a completely different music cruise is amazing.
